+ What dates are Notting Hill Carnival?

Notting Hill Carnival consists of three events:

Panarama - 24th August 2024

Carnival Sunday - 25th August 2024

Carnival Monday - 26th August 2024

(Panarama is a steel pan competition held every year with brillant vibes. We do not partake in this event but if you are able to attend please do. It is a free event.)

+ When is the deadline for registration?

Onturaj Mas’ online registration is open until 31st May 2024. You register for the costume of your choice and must pay your deposit of £150 to secure your costume. You can also choose to pay your costume in full.

+ What are my payment options?

All major credit cards and VISA debit cards are accepted for online payments. You can also use Klarna.

IMPORTANT – Costumes must be paid for in full by 1st August 2024. If not your costume will be sold on and deposit forfeited.

+ Can I get a refund if I no longer wish to participate?

No. Onturaj Mas does not offer refunds.

+ What do I need for costume registration?

For registration you need the following size information.

Female:

  • Bra Size (e.g. 34B etc.)


  • Pants size (8, 10, 12 AND S, M, L etc,)

  • Or Monokini Size (S, M, L etc)

Male:

  • Shorts size (S, M, L etc.)




+ Can I order extra items with my costume?

The costume may have different additional options. These options, if available, will be shown on the registration page.

Additional options may include larger headpieces, collars and other embelishments at an additional cost. If these are available, they will be detailed on the registration page with the cost attached.

+ I did not get a costume. Can I be placed on a waiting list?

Onturaj Mas does not maintain a waiting list. However, there are very rare instances where a masquerader may cancel their order. We reccommend emailing us at info@onturajmas.com in the run up to carnival to see if any costumes have become available.

+ I’ve purchased a costume from another masquerader how do I transfer the costume to my name?

Onturaj Mas does not facilitate costume transfer.

Please ensure you receive a letter from the original costume owner authorising you to collect on their behalf. This letter must be accompanied by a copy of the original owner’s ID.

Alternatively, the original owner can send an email to info@onturajmas.com from the email address used when purchasing their costume authorising the costume transfer.

+ Do I need ID to collect my costume?

Yes, you will only be given the costume with ID of the owner as named on our system during registration/purchase online. 

+ I’m unable to collect my costume. Can another person collect on my behalf?

Yes. You must provide the person collecting with a signed letter authorising them to collect the costume on your behalf. The letter must be accompanied by a copy of your ID. Alternatively, you can send an email to info@onturajmas.com from the email address used when you purchsed your costume, authorising an alternative collector.

+ When can I collect my costume?

The costume collection schedule will be emailed to all masqueraders, posted on our website and social media platforms. If you are coming in from abroad and have no one to collect on your behalf, please email us at info@onturajmas.com.

+ What do I get when I come to collect my costume?

You will receive your costume as per your order and an Onturaj Mas goodie bag filled with carnival essentials.

+ What does the Onturaj Mas All Inclusive package include?

+ Can I wear or design my own costume?

No. Onturaj Mas does not allow masqueraders to design their own costumes. You must wear your FULL Onturaj Mas costume together with your Funatik Mas wristband in order to be within the ropes of the band. Any person with only one or the other will be escorted out of the band.

+ Can my husband/wife jump in the band?

Onturaj Mas only allows paying masqueraders to jump in the band. Non - masqueraders may observe from outside the ropes.

+ Where does the band meet?

The starting point is located in the Ladbroke Grove area - be sure to check our socials for information regarding a specific location.
